Cornelius Cardew was Secretary of the Progressive Cultural Association (PCA) and a member of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist). He was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the early hours of December 13, 1981, at the age of 45. At the meeting in commemoration of Cornelius Cardew organised by PCA on December 21, 1996, the main paper The Question Is Really One of Word and Deed was presented by Hardial Bains. The author, who died in August 1997, was National Leaders of the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist), and was closely associated with the joint work of PCA and the Canadian Cultural Workers' Committee (CCWC).
