Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist)
Over the past two years, since October 7, 2023, mass actions held worldwide have supported the Palestinian resistance against the US-Israeli genocide, a genocide which is a war crime in which the British government must be held complicit. The ceasefire, which the world has been demanding, and which has just been announced, has been brought about through the unrelenting resistance of the Palestinian people to the Zionist attempts to eradicate them as a people, a resistance which demands self-determination for the heroic Palestinian people. This resistance has shown itself to be unstoppable, and however the "peace plan" develops in its various phases, it is a resistance which will never be eliminated. Organised resistance and determination to end the genocide and support the Palestinians and their statehood and self-determination can be seen everywhere.
Since October 7, 2023, there have been two years of US/Israeli-Zionist bombings, killings and crimes against humanity. Now, the Palestinian resistance has ensured that Israel has agreed to a ceasefire. But the full unfolding of the "peace plan" is bound to eventually founder if the Palestinian people are denied their full right of self-determination, for the Palestinian people must and will decide who their leaders are. History did not begin with October 7. The Palestinian people have been subject to decades of Israeli violations of the principles of the UN Charter, violations of international law and crimes against humanity. Indeed, Britain itself has a criminal history of colonial rule and intervention in the region and implanting the roots of the apartheid state and the Zionist entity. Still, the Palestinians have not abandoned the principle that they must have a government of their own making, and have rejected the dictate of the big powers as to what their state must be.
RCPB(ML) congratulates the Palestinian resistance on waging their struggle so as to achieve a ceasefire. Justice now demands that the Palestinian people must be able to assert their right to self-determination, their right of return and to full compensation, reconstruction, and restitution for the catastrophe that befell them in 1948, and which they have resisted, as is their right, from that time.
Stand with Palestine! Stand with the Resistance!
